Connections to the Ōtakaro (Avon River), manaakitanga (hospitality) for our guests and Ngā tangata (the people) tie this artwork to the ethos of Ben & Jerry’s and celebrates the unique gathering space.

Ministry of Education Summit - Pou collaborative painting exercise (Copy)We painted our Pou in the centre of the conference at Horncastle Arena, among a group of other artists and creatives. Our Pou depicts Papatūānuku as the foundation of creativity for her children and us through whakapapa. Waihiko or Technology we as creatives harness and adapt to excel our creativity. The top represents Te Mana o te wahine today and how all these elements are practiced and applied for us all.With help from creative assistant Sammy Nicholls.
